One of my favorite things about working at Tuesday is getting to work on marketing campaigns for things I love. I am a HUGE Ally McBeal fan, so you can imagine how excited I was to find out I would be producing the banner campaign for the famed 90’s Fox dramedy series DVD debut.

Kym, one of our producers here at Tuesday Creative is constantly keeping up with the film community.  Last month, she attended the 5th annual Hollyshorts Film Festival.  The HollyShorts Film Festival (HSFF) is an annual film festival showcasing the best and brightest short films from around the globe. HollyShorts is devoted to the advancement of filmmakers through screenings, Q&A sessions and networking events. The HollyShorts Film Festival showcases the top short films produced 30-minutes or less. This year, the festival featured Demi Moore’s short “Streak” and Demi, despite an emergency landing in Vegas still came to festival to support.

It’s a great film festival that is trying to add digital works to it’s slate next year.

A company out of Japan named d.o.E.S. (Dream of Electric Sheep) was asked to come up with a cool new way to promote the new LG Mobile phone Lollipop, and spawned this great stop-animation miniature video. Check it out!

13 Most Beautiful…Songs for Andy Warhol’s Screen Tests

When deciding which film to see at the Los Angeles Film Festival last week, I was presented with the opportunity to see a test screening of 13 MOST BEAUTIFUL… SONGS FOR ANDY WARHOL’S SCREEN TESTS. “I paint anybody, anybody that asks me.” An admirably democratic mission statement, though Andy Warhol was marginally choosier about the Factory friends he invited to appear in the 500 or so black-and-white “screen tests” he “produced” (“the camera has a motor; you just turn it on and walk away”) from 1964 to 1966. The latest of his work, which is set to music by Luna’s Dean Wareham and Britta Phillips, captures stars we know and love before their fame made them who they are today. Such stylistic shots of Nico, Lou Reed, Dennis Hopper and Edie Sedgwick grace the screen in absolute normalcy with Andy’s eccentric style peppered throughout.
