Rock Band 3 will have an incredible 83-song setlist, as well as support for your current RB music library (Rock Band and Rock Band 2 discs, DLC, track packs, AC/DC Live: Rock Band Track Pack, LEGO Rock Band, and Green Day: Rock Band). In addition to bigger and better graphics and a brand new setlist, the standout upgrade for RB3 has to be the addition of a Keyboard! Until now Rock Band songs have intentionally excluded keyboard-centric songs, but rest assured they are more than making up for that with songs like “Sister Christian” , “Bohemian Rhapsody”, “Break on Through”, and “The Power of Love”. Yah, that’s right Steve – “The Power of Love”, that’s what we have!

Along with a keyboard, RB3 will also be making 3 mic harmonies a standard. Pro expansions for all the existing instruments will also be offered, including a fully functional, full-sized, six-string electric Squier Stratocaster that also functions as a game controller that Fender and Harmonix have teamed up to develop.

RB2’s big party killer has always been the need to add or drop players by exiting gameplay and returning to the band selection screen. Well, Harmonix has heard our cries and taken action! Party Shuffle lets you start the game immediately, while persistent drop-in/drop-out lets players take turns (or take a break!) without interrupting the flow of play. Similar to Party Shuffle, an on-the-fly difficulty control will enable you to choose (or change!) your difficulty on any gameplay screen – including mid-song.

Google has introduced the Google Font Directory and Google Font API, a free web service that allows website owners the ability to utilize other fonts outside of the Web-safe fonts cadre in an easy, convenient, and resource-efficient way.

The Google Font API is a fresh entry to the Font-as-Service niche that includes TypeKit, Typotheque, and others.

• More Streamlined – It does just as much with fewer buttons. It feels more intuitive.
• It’s a Smarter Controller – Pointing the controller away from the screen does nothing to interrupt game play as it might with the Wii Remote system. Not even blocking line-of-sight between the Eyetoy and controller was able to disrupt communication, which is critical for some of the spinning moves of Playstation’s Motion Fighter demo.
• No Wasted Batteries – The Wii remote sucks up AA battery juice. The Move and its companion sub-controller are rechargeable via the same mini-USB connection used to charge the PS3’s main controller.
• No Wire – No tethered wire is necessary for the Move controllers to communicate and why should there be, we live in a wireless world.
• The Colored Sphere – The colorful sphere at the pointing end of the Move is the thing that the PlayStation Eyetoy uses to detect the presence of the Move. Why did my sphere turn orange you ask? Because the software detected that there was no orange in the background.
• Z Space – Not only does the sphere serve as an up and down / side-to-side motion detector, the Move can keep an accurate position of itself in Z-space (distance from the screen.)

For me, what it all boils down to is I just want something that I know works like it’s suppose to, period.
