During my years in art school I developed a love and appreciation for photography. Taking many photography classes as electives I learned how to use the manual settings on the camera and how to develop and print black and white film. All with an old Pentax, equipped with one 35mm lens. I absolutely loved this camera and would drag it along with me everywhere. Some of my fondest memories from school were wondering around the greater Los Angeles area, searching for interesting sights to capture. But very quickly graduation came, then work and I soon found myself getting out to shoot less and less. Eventually the camera ended up in the darker regions of my closet, and I began to settle for digital point and shoot cameras.
Under new ownership, Twiistup 6 transitioned from its Santa Monica coastal cool roots to the grown up corporate environment of the Universal City Hilton for two days of conferencing and one night of cocktailing July 30-31. It was another well-attended event; contacts were made, drinks were had and ExpenseBay was named this year’s winner.
